Record AI

Ask questions about a catalogue in plain English, and have the work done for you.

Record AI answers questions about your catalogue in plain English, and does the work you would otherwise do by hand. Ask it to find every work missing an IPI, run enrichment, check what the MLC holds for a song, or build an export.

Record AI is scoped to one catalogue at a time. It cannot see another client's data.

What you can ask#

1

Questions about your own catalogue

"Which works are missing a writer IPI?" · "How many songs are ready for the MLC?" · "Show me everything by this writer."

2

Questions about the wider industry

"What does the MLC hold for this ISRC?" · "Who else is claiming this work?" · "Is this song registered with ASCAP?"

3

Work you want done

"Enrich this catalogue." · "Resolve the writers on these works." · "Build the CWR file."

What Record AI can reach#

Fifty-eight tools across these areas. You do not call them by name. Record AI picks them.

AreaWhat it covers
Your cataloguesList, search, create, rename and validate catalogues, and search works across all of them.
WorksRead and update a work, and generate an export.
EnrichmentRun enrichment, look values up, investigate ISRCs, and run catalogue intelligence.
The MLCSearch works and recordings, check a song code, run a match, and read coverage and pipeline status.
Rights intelligenceCatalogue discovery and health, competing claims, territory gaps, royalty leakage, co-writer prospects, and unclaimed royalties.
Reference dataBWARM works and releases, the ASCAP catalogue, and Apple's feed for discography, albums and ISRCs.
IdentityResolve an ISRC, search for an artist or a PRO, validate writer IPIs, and approve a writer alias.
ControlAssign controlled writers.
The webSearch and read pages when the answer is not in our data.

What it will not do#

  • It will not invent data. If a value is unknown, Record AI reports the gap. It does not fill the field with a guess.
  • It will not cross catalogues. A question about one catalogue is answered from that catalogue.
  • It will not register on your behalf. Record AI builds the file. You deliver it.

Long jobs#

Enrichment and matching can take longer than a request. Record AI starts the job, hands you a run you can watch, and reports when it finishes. You can close the panel and come back.

Getting a useful answer#

  • Name the identifier. "The work with ISRC USRC12345678" beats "the third song".
  • Ask for the gap, not the total. "Which works block the MLC export?" is more useful than "are we ready?".
  • Ask it to show its working. Record AI will name the source behind a value if you ask.
